Welcome to ShareMyCV. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

What is ShareMyCV?

ShareMyCV is a simple service that lets you upload your curriculum vitae (CV) and share it with others using a clean, memorable link. You can also see basic analytics about who views your CV, including visitor location, device type, and referral source.

Who can use ShareMyCV?

You must be at least 13 years old to use ShareMyCV. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use our service.

Your account

When you sign up, you'll claim a unique username for your CV link (e.g., sharemy.cv/yourname). Here's what you need to know:

  • Your username must be unique and available
  • You can change your username once every 30 days
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account
  • Don't share your account with others

Uploading your CV

You can upload your CV to share with others. Here are the rules:

  • Maximum file size: 5MB
  • Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX
  • Your CV must be appropriate and legal
  • Don't upload malware, viruses, or harmful content
  • Don't upload content that infringes on others' rights
  • Don't upload illegal, discriminatory, or harassing content

We reserve the right to remove any CV that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate.

Who owns what?

You own your CV. We don't claim any ownership over the content you upload. However, by uploading your CV, you give us permission to:

  • Store and host your CV on our servers
  • Display your CV to people who visit your link
  • Make copies as needed for backups and technical operations

You can delete your CV at any time, and we'll remove it from our servers.

Analytics and tracking

When someone views your CV, we collect basic information to show you analytics, including the visitor's IP address, approximate location (country and city), device type, browser, and where they came from. This tracking cannot be disabled because it's a core feature of the service. Visitors to your CV should be aware that their viewing activity is tracked.

Service availability

We strive to keep ShareMyCV running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these terms
  • Upload inappropriate or illegal content
  • Abuse or misuse the service
  • Engage in fraudulent activity

Limitation of liability

ShareMyCV is provided for your convenience. We're not liable for any damages, losses, or issues that arise from your use of the service, including lost data, privacy breaches by third parties, or consequences of sharing your CV publicly. Use the service at your own risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of ShareMyCV after changes means you accept the new terms.
